MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is the IGF-1Ec splice-variant peptide expressed in response to mechanical loading, examined in the literature for its role in initiating muscle-repair signalling. The unmodified form is used where native, short-duration kinetics are required — in contrast to its PEGylated counterpart.
